On the occasion of Milan Design Week, Zanotta, a leading name of radical Italian design worldwide, presented the Z24 collection designed by Muller Van Severen.
This marks an important collaboration between the Italian brand and the Belgian duo, internationally renowned for their minimalist and innovative approach.
The Z24 collection consists of various elements designed to meet a wide range of functional and aesthetic needs: a sideboard, ideal for the living room or the dining room; a nightstand, perfect for the bedroom; and two low storage units that can be used in various areas of the home, such as the living room or entrance hall.
The new colour palette includes sophisticated shades like talc, wax, hemp, caramel, orange, amaranth, lawn green, espresso, and black. These colours were selected to offer a wide range of options to fit various living and design contexts.
A distinctive feature of this collection is the ability to incorporate neutral LED lighting within the compartments of the storage units. This feature not only adds practical functionality by illuminating the interior of the furniture but also helps creating a sophisticated and evocative atmosphere. The magic of the Z24 collection lies in its ability to create an interplay between light and shadow through the zigzag pattern on the front.
The furniture is made of veneered wood with a matte lacquer finish that highlights its clean, modern lines, while the interior doors feature adjustable tempered glass shelves. This combination of materials and its unique shape allows for a play of shadows that varies with the angle and intensity of the light, giving the pieces a unique dynamism and visual depth. These new pieces, with their refined aesthetic, are destined to become focal points in any home environment, bringing with them a touch of contemporary elegance and an engaging sensory experience.
"We are truly happy and excited about our collaboration with Zanotta, a historic company that has been producing iconic furniture since the 1960s and continues to do so today. We share the love for the essence of design and authentic emotions, and we decided to design a series of storage furniture where the interaction with light and shadow is the most important aspect."
