When it was introduced in the market, the sofa “Throw-Away” represented a great innovation - it was the first example in the world of a sofa entirely made of 100% polyurethane, with no frames in wood, metal or other materials.
Armchair, sofas and pouf. Expanded polyurethane frame. Removable cover in fabric or leather.
Transversality makes the project
In the London of Mary Quant and of a cultural revolution that witnessed the advent of the miniskirt, Beatlesmania and a Europe that ushered in protesting students, with their long hair and peaceful desire to change the world. In the universe of Willie Landels, eccentricity incarnate, transversality makes the project. Graphic and advertising artist, art director and editor of magazines of costumes, designer and author, in particular, of Throw-Away: the first sofa made completely from expanded polyurethane, structureless and industrially made.
