Istituto Italiano di Cultura is the promoter of the exhibition Design Italiano. The beauty of everyday life between Italy and Argentina, curated by Silvana Annicchiarico: a collection of some of the most significant and representative examples in the history of Italian design from the post-war period to the present.
An event to present Italy with its values and specificities to Argentine society. The exhibition is in fact organized in five chronological sections that intend to give an account of Italian research in different areas such as design, fashion and costume.
Mezzadro by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1954 and Sciangai by De Pas D’Urbino and Lomazzi in 1973 were selected for their originality of design, innovation in applied technical solutions and for the ability to grasp and interpret the taste and culture of their time and strongly desired as significant testimonies of the value of Italian research and the production and design know-how of Italian companies.
The exhibition will be open from September 22 to January 29, 2023.
