Zanotta is pleased to announce its participation in "ITALIA GENIALE. design enables -Beauty, originality, creativity of universally appreciated industrial design", a travelling exhibition organised by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy and the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with ADI Design Museum, on the occasion of the Amerigo Vespucci World Tour.
The exhibition, set up for the first time on the occasion of the Los Angeles stop, will follow the Italian Village to Tokyo, Darwin, Singapore, Mumbai, Abu-Dhabi, Doha, Jeddah and finally to Durres at the beginning of 2025, accompanying the Amerigo Vespucci's tour around the world.
Curated by Carlo Martino and Francesco Zurlo, the exhibition is divided into five thematic areas, emphasising how our country's design and creativity improve people's lives all over the world, enabling them to realise themselves thanks to everyday objects that have become iconic and are international ambassadors of Made in Italy. The exhibition starts from the valorisation of our country's heritage of brands and patents, touching on material culture and technical culture, to intertwine with the history of design.
A historical company and symbol of Italian design in the world, Zanotta participates in the exhibition with an iconic piece: Sacco designed by Piero Gatti, Cesare Paolini and Franco Teodoro in 1968 in the red version. The Sacco armchair was born from the designers' idea of creating a universal seat capable of adapting to the body in any position and is considered one of the most ingenious and representative objects of Italian design.
