Zanotta is pleased to announce its participation in "Molto bello: Icons of modern Italian Design" at the Heide Museum of Modern Art in Bulleen, Australia, from 26 October 2024 to 23 March 2025.
The exhibition, which takes place in Heide's main galleries and in Heide Modern, celebrates some of the key figures in design and their enduring contribution to global culture, exploring the most important milestones in the history of 20th century Italian design.
A historic company and symbol of radical Italian design in the world, Zanotta participates in the exhibition with a vast selection of its most iconic pieces (in collaboration with its local partner Cult) such as the Mezzadro and Sella stools, the outdoor stool Allunaggio, the clothes-stand Sciangai, the console table Quaderna, the writing desk Cavour, the armchairs Sant'Elia and Ardea, anatomical easy-chair Sacco.
Through the heritage of the rich Italian craft tradition, the exhibition tells how through technological advances, creativity and continuous experimentation, Italian design is admired worldwide. Through recognisable pieces and rarer ones, the exhibition explores the breadth of materials and manufacturers, the different approaches to form and function adopted by Italian designers in a rapidly changing social and industrial landscape.
