Zanotta is pleased to announce its participation in the exhibition "Arte e Design. Design è Arte" at the MA*GA Museum in Gallarate (VA), a project by Philippe Daverio curated by Emma Zanella, Vittoria Broggini and Alessandro Castiglioni.

For five months, the dialogue between art and design will be the protagonist of two exhibition itineraries, parallel and complementary, linked by the same layout, which will tell the story and the near future of a language that has distinguished and continues to distinguish Italy in the world.
"Arte e Design. Design è Arte” is a visionary and ambitious exhibition that interweaves artistic production and the design object, dialoguing with the artistic making of modernity from an aesthetic and ethical perspective. A historical company and symbol of radical Italian design in the world, Zanotta participates in the exhibition with the Mezzadro stool by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni designed in 1956. This iconic piece manages to combine functionality and aesthetics. Its distinctive shape, inspired by an object as simple as a tractor seat, is the result of the refined ingenuity and attention to detail that characterise the entire production of the Castiglioni brothers and Zanotta's avant-garde design.
Mezzadro is not only a piece of furniture but also a statement of style and an invitation to reflect on design as an art form where an everyday object becomes a design element that makes you reflect on the importance of form and practical use. Sacco, the iconic armchair designed in 1968 by the trio Gatti, Paolini and Teodoro, is one of the iconic objects of design, collected in many museums and awarded the Compasso d'oro for Lifetime achievement in 2020.
