Milan in the Sixties: photos, posters, design furnishing and objects develop a narrative path based on the history of an unrepeatable decade, which established the city to become one of the world’s capital cities of creativity.
Boosted by the economic boom Milan suddenly found itself experiencing an uncontrollable cultural ferment fuelled by the desire to finally leave behind the horrors of the war.
Zanotta participates in the setting with some of its symbolic items, that have definitely become real icons of Italian Design: the easy chair Sacco (designed by Gatti, Paolini, Teodoro in 1968), the ashtray Servofum and the umbrella-stand Servopluvio, both designed by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1961.
The exhibition will be open for visits from November 6th, 2019 until February 9th, 2020 at Palazzo Morando – via Sant’Andrea 6, Milan.
