Zanotta is pleased to announce its participation in the exhibition “Abitiamo alla marinara” at the Church of Sant'Agostino in Pietrasanta on the occasion of the third edition of Pietrasanta Design Week-end from 26 to 29 September.
The theme of this new Pietrasanta Design Week-end is the distinguishing feature: an invitation for companies and designers to show and tell themselves in relation to trends, to their cultural background, and with respect to their ability to understand and meet the customer's requirements, which is the great difference that distinguishes artistic production from industrial production.
The exhibition, curated by Giulio Cappellini and Giulio Iacchetti, showcases the Versilia of always. “Abitiamo alla marinara” aims to recount the design of yesterday and today through four islands, to life on the beach: to relaxation, sport, food and play.
A historical company and symbol of Italian design in the world, Zanotta participates in the exhibition with an iconic piece: Allunaggio designed by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1965. The outdoor seat Allunaggio, represented a real revolution, unique in the history of design, as the three slender legs that are as far away as possiblefrom the seating element they support - to ‘cast as little shadow as possible’ - are reminiscent of an object ‘landed’ from another planet.
