Zanotta is pleased to announce its participation in "La sedia infinita. A journey through 70 years of design evolution at TTG - INOUT", an exhibition that explores the themes that have guided the evolution of the chair over the last 70 years. Chairs of different types will offer a comprehensive view of the research and development of this fundamental element of everyday life and industrial design.
The exhibition will be on show at Rimini Fiera from 9 to 11 October. This year, TTG - INOUT has chosen ‘Veritas’ as its main theme, inviting the public to reflect on truth and authenticity in design and hospitality. In this context, ‘La sedia infinita’ is presented as an exhibition celebrating the originality of design, illustrating how an everyday object has become a symbol of innovation, functionality and beauty.
Zanotta, a historic company and symbol of radical Italian design in the world, participates in the exhibition with an iconic piece: Sacco designed by Piero Gatti, Cesare Paolini and Franco Teodoro in 1968. The Sacco armchair was conceived from the designers' idea of creating a universal seat capable of adapting to the body in any position and is still considered one of the most ingenious and representative objects of Italian design.
Within the exhibition, forty seats grouped in pairs or small groups narrate experiences of innovation, research and transformation, which reflect the social, economic and technological developments of the last 70 years, in parallel with the Compasso d'Oro award. Each chair is associated with a short sentence that contextualises its value in the overall narrative, creating small thematic groups of 2 to 5 chairs. In addition, some objects are deliberately accompanied by emblematic images that narrate their experience, presenting each product as a unique place belonging to a long tradition of research and development.
