The installation in Piazza XXV Aprile
For the duration of Milan Design Week, Piazza XXV Aprile becomes an open-air stage for the city and its visitors. The entrances to the two old Excise Buildings, now home to the showrooms of Zanotta and Tecno, are highlighted by coloured side curtains that extend on to the square to form two routes, one red and one yellow, inviting visitors to step inside for a moment of relaxation. The scene is set by four micro-architecture projects built with the modular Linea system of Tecno and Zanon Architetti Associati. Four multi-functional islands provide a rest stop of minimalist, almost archetypal design, complete with work surfaces, seats and vertically extended container modules enclose four urban gardens. The protagonists: Sacco chairs in bright, saturated colours.
